Saturday Girls Education Support Program
“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
- Michelle Obama
The Seeds of Light Saturday Girls’ Education Program provides high school girls an opportunity to develop skills in leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence leading to their own sense of self-worth and confidence.
They are exposed to topics that broaden their view and understanding of the world - both locally and globally.
The results are empowered young women who improve family and community relationships and create a better and more abundant future for themselves and their communities.
They are our heart-centered leaders of the future ready to make a difference.

Academically, we lend a helping hand with monthly Maths classes giving focused attention on using Maths for problem solving and providing some help in understanding the core Maths curriculum.
We also provide monthly Reading and Literacy classes with access to a robust library with books available for check out.
Other basic topics discussed and practiced at all sessions are the practice of mindfulness, journaling, public speaking, emotional awareness and teamwork.

Young women in the program immediately bring positive changes to their home life and school environments with the impact of mindfulness and emotional awareness classes that start from day one.
In the long-term, girls from this program do better in school, with a long term expectation of gaining advanced education and making an impact on the future for themselves, their family, and their community.
